First responders who worked tirelessly to rescue two men trapped in a trench collapse in Powell, Tennessee, in January 2022, have been awarded the statewide EMS Star of Life award by the Children’s Emergency Care Alliance of Tennessee. Around 100 responders from Rural Metro, Knoxville Fire, Knox County Rescue, AMR Knox and UT LifeStar worked together for several hours to free the trapped men. The agencies were honored at a ceremony in Lebanon, Tennessee on May 4, and representatives from each agency were presented with a trophy. The agencies thanked Lowe’s for providing equipment and local restaurants for providing food during the rescue operation.
This is certainly good news, where it is all to often to only hear a bad report about a trench collapse. More about this story can be found from the source: Wate News Trench Rescue
